Description
ECM receives input speed sensor signal from TCM via the CAN communication line. ECM uses this signal for engine control.

DTC DETECTION LOGIC
NOTE:
| DTC No. | Trouble diagnosis | DTC detecting condition | Possible cause |
| P1715 | Input speed sensor (TCM output) | Input speed sensor signal is different from the theoretical value calculated by ECM from output speed sensor signal and engine rpm signal. |

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following before conducting the next test.
>> GO TO 2.
2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?
YES >> Go to EC, "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO >> INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK DTC WITH TCM
Check DTC with TCM. Refer to TM, "DTC Index" (A/T models) or TM, "DTC Index" (CVT models).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated.
2.REPLACE TCM
Replace TCM. Refer to TM, "Removal and Installation" (A/T models) or TM, "Removal and Installation" (CVT models).
>> INSPECTION END

Work Procedure
INSPECTION
Inspect the amount of engine oil. Replenish the engine oil if necessary.
Refer to LU, "Inspection".
Drive for about 10 minutes to warm up the vehicle so that the A/T fluid
temperature is to 50 to 80C (122
to 176F).
Inspect the amount of ATF. Rep ...
