General Precautions

CAUTION:

  1. Do not reuse CSC (Concentric Slave Cylinder). CSC slides back to the original position every time when removing transaxle assembly. At this time, dust on the sliding parts may damage the seal of CSC and may cause clutch fluid leakage. Refer to CL, "Removal and Installation".
  2. Do not reuse transaxle gear oil, once it has been drained.
  3. Check oil level or replace gear oil with vehicle on level surface.
  4. During removal or installation, keep inside of transaxle clear of dust or dirt.
  5. Check for the correct installation alignment prior to removal or disassembly. If matching marks are required, be certain they do not interfere with the function of the parts marked.
  6. In principle, tighten bolts or nuts gradually in several steps working diagonally from inside to outside.

If tightening sequence is specified, use it.

  7. Do not damage sliding surfaces and mating surfaces.
