Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Perform ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING ECM. Refer to EC-122, "Work Procedure".

REMOVAL

  1. Remove battery. Refer to PG, "Removal and Installation".
  2. Remove IPDM E/R. Refer to PCS, "Removal and Installation" (WITH I-KEY) or PCS, "Removal and Installation" (WITHOUT I-KEY).
  3. Remove IPDM E/R cover (1).

A : mounting nut

B : mounting bolts

  1. Disconnect ECM harness connectors.
  2. Remove ECM mounting nuts.
  3. Remove ECM from ECM bracket.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.
